The city tour departs at 10.00 and 14.00.
We will visit the Museum of Anatolian
Civilizations,
which is located in a restored bazaar. The
museum has the most unique and priceless
collection dating back to the Prehistoric
Era. The Mausoleum of Ataturk is the next
stop. This magnificent structure serves as
a tribute to the founder of modern Turkey.
We will also visit the citadel of Ankara

HATTUSAS AND YAZILIKAYA-THE HITTITE KINGDOM (1
DAY) |

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY DEPARTURES
Today we will visit Hattusas. This ancient
city was the capital of the proud and
warlike Hittites from the year 1750 B.C.
to the year 1180 B.C. Their empire
stretched from the Black Sea to Syria. The
visits will include the capital city
itself with its gates including the Lions
Gate, Kings Gate, the tunnel and citadel
and city walls. Lunch will be taken in a
regional restaurant. The visits for the
afternoon will start with the outdoor
shrine of Yazilikaya. This is the site
where the bas-reliefs of the gods of the
Hittites seem to march across the cliff

GORDION - THE PHRYGIAN CAPITAL (1 DAY) -

Departure is in the morning to Gordion,
capital of the Phrygian Empire, where
Alexander cut the Gordian Knot, and King Midas
with his golden touch was said to live, it is
truly a city of legends. The visits will
include the ruins of the city and the Tumulus
of King Midas.

DAILY DEPARTURE
DAY 1
ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA
Departure is in the morning for Cappadocia.
The drive will enable you to see the
famous Salt Lake as you proceed through the
Anatolian countryside. Lunch will be
taken enroute in a restaurant famous for its
Turkish Cuisine, and the first site will be
the 13th century Agzikarahan caravansary built
by the Seljuk Turks. The journey
will continue along the fabled Silk Road. The
next stop is the Kaymakli underground
city which is a huge refuge carved by the
early Christians which served as a hideout
from persecutors. The natural citadel of
Uchisar is the next stop. This will enable you
to get a panoramic view of the area. The
unique lunar landscape of the region has been
processed by nature, the soft volcanic rock
eroded through wind and weather, leaving
behind pillars, cones and the famous 'fairy
chimneys'. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

DAY 2
CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA
Breakfast will be taken at the hotel and the
day's first visit will be to the Goreme valley
which is the highlight of the Cappadocia
region. This valley houses rock churches and
monasteries painted with colorful frescoes.
The last site of the tour is the Zelve
Valley. After which lunch will be served in a
typical restaurant. The return to Ankara
will be late in the afternoon. B.L.

DAY 1
ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA
Tour starts in the morning with the tour
of Ankara. The first sight is the Museum

DAY 2
CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast will be served at the hotel and
the full day tour of Cappadocia begins
with the natural citadel of Uchisar, which
will enable you to get a panoramic view of
the region and continues with the Goreme
valley, which is the highlight of the day.
This valley houses the Goreme Open Air
Museum with its churches hewn out of rock
and the colorful frescoes which decorate
them. The next stop is Zelve and the caves
of this ancient village, continuing with
the Avanos and Cavusin villages. Lunch
will be served enroute at a typical
regional restaurant. Dinner and overnight
will be at the hotel in Cappadocia. B.L.D.
DAY 3
CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA
Breakfast will be served at the hotel and
the morning visits will begin with the
underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu
which are refuges carved out in the early
Christian Era as safe havens from
persecutors. Lunch will be taken on the
way to Ankara. After arrival in Ankara you
will be transferred to your departure
