The Liwan
Hotel is a historical stone building with
balconies and arches which is located in the
center of Antakya (Hatay) within walking
distance of the world renowned
Archaeological Museum and other sights of
interest. Antakya Liwan hotel was restored
and opened in October 2008 for your comfort.
The building was constructed in the 1920’s
by the architect Sekip Nakpi and is an
excellent example of eclectic architecture.
The first resident of the building was the
first president of Syria. The 24 luxuriously
decorated rooms are each different from each
other and feature air-conditioning, cable
T.V. safe deposit box, minibar, direct dial
telephone and private toilet and shower with
hair dryer. Some of the rooms have
balconies. Handicapped and non-smoking rooms
are available. The Antakya Liwan Hotel
offers a restaurant, café and bar which are
inside of stone walls with a special
atmosphere, also a disco, live music and
other services and facilities such as room
service, dry cleaning, internet connection
