APHRODISIAS (GEYRE)
Geyre is near Aydin, in the Aegean
Region.Aphrodisias is one of the most splendid
ruins of Turkey. It's one
of the ancient Carian cities. In
the Greek mythology, it's mentioned in
connection with the Goddess of Love;
Aphrodite and boasted a famous school of
sculpture. New excavations are being carried
out.
