Cinaralti Pansiyon is
a charming house located in the village of
Birgi in the district of Odemis, east of the
city of Izmir. Cinaralti Pansiyon is
family-run and has only 4 rooms decorated in
the traditional style of an old house, with
homespun accents and hard wood floors. There
is a peaceful garden where you can sit and
relax when you are not out discovering this
wonderful town. The old town of Birge is
located 10 km of Boz Mountain pass and is
located on the sides of a deep valley. Birgi
was most likely constructed in the 14th
century from materials taken from the ruins
of Pyrgium. Birgi is unspoiled and boasts
magnificent stone and wood houses mostly
from the 18th and 19th
centuries, narrow streets and traditional
village life. The Cakiraga Konagi in Birgi
is a unique traditional style manor and may
be visited by the public. Other sights
include the five-aisled Ulu Mosque built in
1312 and an early Seljuk mosque in the Kufa
style with a flat wooden roof. |
