The Mauna Hotel located in the old Greek district on Bozcaada (Tenedos Island) is one of the most pleasant hotels on the island and the staff is friendly and accommodating. We found the rooms and hotel itself to be spacious and cool (no A/C) even in the high summer. This is probably due to the thickness of the building walls, as the old converted houses on the island were constructed to keep the heat out. There are comfortable lounging and sitting areas in Mauna Hotel and it has a large terrace for breakfast, drinks and dining which commands a spectacular view of the old Turkish Bath, the Castle and the Aegean Sea. Mauna Hotel has only 10 rooms including 2 suites with balconies. Rooms have private toilet and shower, minibar and T.V.
