Assiana
House is a new hotel in a restored stone and
cave house of only five rooms (2 arched
rooms and 3 cave rooms) all with private
bathroom, luxurious bed covers and antique
décor. Assiana House Hotel is located in the
Esbelli District of Urgup about 15 minutes
walk from the town, yet far away from any
noise or traffic. The area is scenic as you
are on a hill full of old houses and
troglodyte dwellings and have a view of the
valley and the town of Urgup below. Our
friend Mevlut is proud of his small hotel,
which has a history dating back more than
1500 years and he has lovingly restored
these village houses to make them more like
a home than a hotel. The kitchen is open for
use by all and you can bring in drinks or
food from outside. The hotel has central
heating, wood floors and some fireplaces in
the rooms and you may use the swimming pool
of a hotel nearby for an extra fee. When not
out discovering Cappadocia you may just want
to take in some sun on the terrace or read a
book in the enclosed courtyard. Internet,
fax, laundry service and airport shuttle are
available. |
