Sacred
House Hotel in Urgup, Cappadocia is a place
like a fairy tale that combines Byzantine
and Medieval theme with the ancient history
of central Anatolia. Sacred House is tucked
away on a narrow street in the old part of
Urgup and there is no sign to indicate the
hotel as they do not welcome door customers.
The stately old stone house is over 250
years old and features ornate stone work on
the facade, a closed courtyard with stone
steps to the upper gallery. Enjoy the
pleasant background music in the courtyard
from the oriental sitting area and which
features some very old art and Armenian
inscriptions. Upstairs there is a charming
sitting room and reception with a small
terrace that has a view of the rock
formations and Temenni Hill. In the winter
you can sit and have a drink by the warm
hearth.
Sacred house has twelve special concept
rooms each with a feel and color scheme of
its own that can allow you to experience
Cappadocia in a very different way. Although
the décor is antique, the facilities are
ultra modern and your cave is a luxury nest.
This boutique hotel has more to offer than
you can imagine. There is a romantic
fireplace in ten of the twelve rooms. All
rooms have a private bathroom with some of
them your own Jacuzzi. Candles are supplied
in ornate holders and you will have
complimentary cherry liqueur in a crystal
bottle waiting for you in the room. All
rooms feature a mini bar which is hidden in
a cupboard in the wall, bathrooms with
Jacuzzi.

there are some interesting choices with
ancient recipes which are served in an
authentically medieval atmosphere with real
old silverware, silver chandeliers and heavy
wood chevalier tables in an underground
