Rustempasa Kervansaray Hotel is a historical
hotel in the center of Edirne. The
caravansaray which is constructed of cut
stone and brick, was originally commissioned
in 1561 by Rustem Pasa, who was the grand
vizier to Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent.
The architect of the Rustempasa Caravansaray
is no other than the famous architect Sinan,
who changed the skyline of Istanbul. The
edifice was restored and finished in 1980
and re-opened as a hotel with 76 rooms
including some suites that have heating,
air-conditioning, T.V., private toilet and
shower and hair-dryer. Every room has
