Esbelli
Evi, one of the first boutique hotels in
Cappadocia, has changed and become a truly
luxury hotel with the addition of the new
suites. The Honeymoon suite is simply
incredible and huge (over 100 sq meters).
The cave walls are particularly beautiful
because of the vibrant color in stripes and
the fact that they have been left pretty
much in a natural state. There are 4
interconnected cave rooms with a master
bedroom featuring a luxurious King bed, a
living room with a writing desk, easy
chairs, wireless internet connection, LCD
Satellite T.V with stereo DVD/CD player, a
loft niche bedroom with another King bed and
a very large bathroom with an old style cast
iron claw-foot bathtub in the middle of a
candlelit room, also separate twin showers
behind a roomy glass window with comfy
bathrobes.
Every detail has been though of for your
comfort in these suites which feature
air-conditioning, 500 channels of stereo
music, kitchens and twin showers/bathtubs.
Take a visit to the kitchen of this suite
and you will find a charming dining area
that opens to the outside garden. Shelves
have been carved out of the stone and there
is an ancient winery in the kitchen but
appliances are modern with an antique
reproduction refrigerator that is completely
stocked with a variety of drinks costing not
much more than what you pay at the local
supermarket. You will also have a full-sized
stove, kitchen sink, electric kettle with
tea, coffee and more. You are not far from
the center of Urgup and some nice dining
establishments, but you can also enjoy a
dinner in the hotel, or make something
yourself.
The hotel owner, Suha has thought of nearly
everything and here’s more information and
what we saw on our recent inspection of
Esbelli Evi Hotel. First of all, the hotel
is composed of nine very old stone and cave
houses around a courtyard and terraced area
with seven deluxe rooms and four suites. The
stone work is superb, and this hotel has
some of the most beautiful natural colored
stone that I have seen in the area and also
some very old dark stone with Armenian
inscriptions from the town of Kayseri.
Esbelli Evi hotel offers a private refuge
for its guests, both from the outside world
and from each other. It seems you can get
lost through the arched passageways and
tunnels that lead to the different rooms in
Esbelli Evi. Finally you find your way to
the courtyard area where the owner has
cleverly hidden a self-service laundromat
with two washing machines in the stone,
which are at your serve for a minor fee.
Suha wants his hotel to be a place, not of
seclusion, rather of interaction and he has
therefore created a variety of areas where
guests can congregate, relax and enjoy the
authentic atmosphere of Cappadocia. You feel
comfortable as you can use the facilities
and bar of the shared kitchen near the
breakfast room and TV and projection rooms.
All prices of drinks and spirits are
reasonable and clearly written. You can use
the available desktop or laptop computers
with high speed internet to get in touch
with home or catch up on your work. You can
borrow music CD’s from Esbelli’s extensive
collection of Classical, Jazz and movie
DVD’s.
The deluxe standard rooms also contain
everything for your comfort and are
tastefully decorated with comfortable King,
queen or twin beds. Nice tiled bathrooms
with toilet and shower, hair-dryer, wifi and
direct dial telephone. Suites include a
two-bedroom suite with a king bed in one
room and a queen bed in the other which has
arched rooms, the above mentioned Honeymoon
Suite, a Family Suites that consists of two
cave rooms, one with King bed and the other
with 1 or 2 single beds. The Family suite
has two bathrooms with toilet and shower, a
kitchen and a separate courtyard. There is
also the Garden Suite with King size bed,
bathroom with twin shower and bathtub,
kitchen and garden and this suite may be
given to families with an additional suite
room available across the courtyard. All
rooms are unique and very comfortable. |
