Canaves I and Canaves II,
collectively known as Canaves Oia. Two luxurious traditional
buildings situated in Oia, the picturesque village on the northern tip
of Santorini. Canaves I arrived on the scene in 1990, built on the
foundations of an old winery (canaves is Greek for winery). Eight years
later and 100 meters away we saw the arrival of Canaves II.
To quote from the Canaves Oia literature:
"Canaves Oia is a window to the world of natural and traditional beauty,
where history and imagination meet".
The accommodation in both Canaves I and Canaves II mainly comprises of
one and two bed roomed "cave style" apartments housing 2 - 6 people,
each beautifully decorated in an individual style and decor,
incorporating traditional antique furniture and handicrafts.
Canaves I also has a studio apartment and a suite with its own Jacuzzi
while Canaves II has a 2-storey suite with 2 single beds in a bedroom on
the ground floor and a second double bed in a loft.
In general the facilities of Canaves Oia include, air conditioning
satellite television, music, safe box, a fully equipped kitchen
including refrigerator, mini bar and oven, a bath, Jacuzzi or shower,
direct dial telephone and private or shared terrace/balcony with
Santorini's famous caldera view.
Both Canaves I and Canaves II have their own swimming pool with sun
beds, umbrellas and terrace. Other facilities include reception desk
08:00 till 00:00 at Canaves I, room service, daily maid service,
breakfast - served in the room or by the pool, private parking, first
aid, living room, exchange, fax and internet access.
