about Side, Turkey
Side is a charming town on the Mediterranean coast of
Turkey located about 75 kilometers from the city of
Antalya. The old part of Side is situated on a
historical peninsula and has a Hellenistic
amphitheater, the Roman Temple of Apollo and
Artemis, impressive city gates, acqueducts and a
museum. Side is full of small shops selling
souvenirs and jewelry. There are good fish
restaurants and pubs in Side, and only a short walk
brings you to a beautiful sandy beach. You will
enjoy the feeling of being in a small fishing
village, when walking through the narrow streets of
the old town of Side, which is full of stone
buildings graced with small wooden balconies and
covered with bouganville.
