TARSUS
Tarsus, in the Mediterranean Region, is the
birthplace of St. Paul. St. Paul had a
tremendous role in spreading Christianity,
especially in Tarsus. It's believed that the
water of the well in the house of St. Paul is
holy. The three meetings of the
Ecumenical Council in 431, 435 and 1177 were held
in Tarsus.
