Itinerary: Highlights of Turkey Tour

Hi Rina-
Below is a copy of an email that I just sent to Aret, which will give you a good idea about what we thought of him as a guide....  Our driver, Mr. Mustafa was excellent!! ....could not have been better! They both went out of their way, again and again, to make our trip memorable and pleasant. You can be very proud of these members of your staff.

We all loved the trip, and think that you did a wonderful job planning it. Although, we spent many hours driving, it did not seem like it, because of the timing of the stops along the way. The hotels were all very interesting, and gave us a real view of the different regions that we traveled through.

In short, I would not hesitate to book a tour with Insight again, and we have already recommended you to friends who are planning to go to Turkey. If you would like to use me as a reference, you have my permission....I will be happy to correspond with anyone who may have questions.

I want you to know that we enjoyed our tour of Turkey with you very, very much. Our friends, Jeff and I all thought that you were an excellent guide for us, and we would all enthusiastically step forward as a reference, if that is ever needed.

The trip was one of the best we have ever taken, and I apologize for not letting you know that sooner. I got sick the day we returned (the flu I think), and that, along with being 3 weeks behind on all of my work, kept me from being more prompt with a response.

I'm sure that by now you have received your cell phone bill, and I would like to know how much I owe you for the calls that you made in my behalf. The trouble that you went to in order to handle my ATM card loss, and the forgotten coat, was above and beyond the call of duty.

Just to let you know......I was very lucky to find the exact tiles that I had been looking for all over Turkey, back in Istanbul at the Grand Bazaar!!!! I was able to buy 8 of them, in very good condition, and I got them at a better price than I had found any place else!! Also....and this is funny....the turquoise turkish towels that I bought... well Cleba phoned by from a local discount store a few days ago, and it is only 2 miles from my house. She had found the exact same towels (made in Turkey) at that store!!! I went there and bought the wash cloths to match the towels that I bought in Turkey!! It is getting to be a very small world.

I would also like to remind you that our offer to be your guide and host if you are ever in Houston, was a valid offer. Ken and Cleba will even throw in a fishing trip!

A friend of Jeff's (a local Judge), has been given your name and Insight Travel's contact information, so you may be hearing from him in the next 6 months or so. He and his wife are planning a trip to Turkey and they were interested in our "travel tales".
