Itinerary: Mysteries
of Eastern Turkey Tour + Hattusas +
Safranbolu
Hi Rina,
We very much enjoyed our experience in Eastern Turkey and the Black Sea.
We both feel the trip was a truly wonderful event and don't want to lose track of what are still at this point very clear memories. If I had to pick out a single day as the peak, I would probably choose the experience at Hattusas, which you had told me was a singular place when advising us about the extension. Every day was a good one, however, even the sleet and lightning at Mt. Nemrut. What I had not been prepared for was the truly majestic landscape throughout Eastern Turkey. The inevitable long drives were made fascinating by the panoramas. One day Suleyman pointed out to us "the garden of
Eden", and we instantly understood that perception.
I will send pictures of Suleyman and Nihat, who were both responsible for our great pleasure in this trip, as soon as I figure out how to get them in a separate file. (We did not fail to notice that every aspect of the tour was singularly well organized and concluded that you must have had a great deal to do with that.)
Best wishes and many thanks,
Pamela H.
