November 10, 2015 – Itinerary: Tailored Western Turkey Tour

Dear Rina,

Sorry for such a belated reply.

We had a wonderful holiday.

Thanks so much for arranging everything for us and for your advice re Istanbul (scheduling the tour so that we can explore the Bazaar and other markets to avoid closures because of Eid).

We enjoyed the Cappadoccia leg best.  The accommodation was wonderful and we had a good guide.

We enjoyed Istanbul on our own. The tour guide for our day tour was good but our favourite guide is still our Cappadoccia guide.

Thanks Rina.  Take care.

November 6, 2015 – Itinerary: Seven Churches and Cappadocia

Hi Rina,

Well our trip is done and we've settled in at home.  To start I want to thank you for your work in getting our tour set up.  Your itinerary was excellent and worked out mostly as planned.  All the pickups and connections were on time.  We had no trouble of any kind in the airports.

Here are some comments specific to the two sections of our trip:

Seven Churches - Our tour guide, Bulent, was excellent, he said he knew you.  His command of English was superb and he really knew his history and the sights well.  We really enjoyed interacting with him and getting to know him.  I would definitely recommend him to others.

Cappadocia - Our guide was a lady by the name of Ferde.  She was an excellent guide and knew her local history. Our guide in Cappadocia reversed the itinerary for the two days but it didn't matter.

Overall we enjoyed the trip and would love to come again some time.

In Christ, Darrell D.

October 31, 2015 – Itinerary: Seven Churches Tour

Hi Rina,

Please forgive my slow reply. I had to hit the ground running once returning from Turkey and it has been hard to find a quiet moment to reflect and respond to you.I am sorry you had to wait!

Everything about the tour was wonderful. I felt really cared for at every step of the way. I was impressed how it worked like clockwork- that is down to your planning, I saw that clearly throughout!

My guide and driver for the first three days were so kind. My guide always let me have enough free time and always was kind to answer my questions. Our driver was lovely too. When he picked me up from the hotel near Kusadasi, he was shocked I hadn’t gone to the centre of town in Kusadsi, so he detoured and drove through slowly so I could see it! I had no idea that the location of the churches were so far from each other, but they carried on with me without complaint. At Pamukkale, I tripped slightly and my mobile phone, got a bit wet. They helped me get some rice to dry it out and a few days later, it was ok- thank goodness! They were both so kind and helpful;I had a few tears after they dropped me off at Izmir airport when I headed to Cappadocia.

In Cappadocia, Farok from the Kismet hotel met me as I got off the bus and I was never so glad to see someone. I could not believe my eyes that I was in a cave hotel. The next evening, after the tour, I walked around by myself in the town and I ended up seeing 3 cows on the road running by. I followed them and found out they were Farok’s cows...I was so surprised! He then laughed at my surprise and he invited me to meet his family and I had dinner with them. He is so kind!  He made every effort to make me feel like part of his family.Later, I met his friends, one is ‘Mustafa’? a driver and he said he knows you and wanted me to say a special hello to you as Farok does as well!

My guide was very nice for the 2 days. He pointed out many things about the environment as Cappadocia has become overrun with tourists- I was quite shocked. This inspired me to go back to my students and teach them about the situation in Cappadocia. I presented them with some of the amazing photos I took. Of course, then they all wanted to visit Cappadocia too. Next, I showed them photos of how many tourists there are and the effects on trees, farms, animals, pigeons and the very fairy chimneys themselves. Every student chose a role to play such as a farmer, an ATV tour operator, a hotel owner, a tourist etc. they had to research Cappadocia and prepare a speech to give in a pretend town hall meeting with the mayor of Cappadocia. We had a debate and then voted on this resolution: should we limit the amount of tourists in Cappadocia? The vote was split in the end and all my students learned about perspectives. I contacted Farok and he would even be willing to Skype with the kids!

I hope this is a good summary of the trip and I really thank you for organizing an amazing trip. I am deeply concerned about the result of the vote this Sunday and how it will affect everyone. I especially think Europe and the world needs to thank Turkey for caring for 3 million refugees for the last 4 years!

Kindest regards and a million thanks,

Viviane V.

October 18, 2015 – Itinerary: Private Ephesus and Cappadocia Tour

Hello Rina

Communication with Insight from the beginning of our planning process was excellent. Rina responded promptly and thoroughly to all of our queries and tailored a plan to meet our needs. When we had one minor hitch (delayed arrival of our driver at Izmir airport), Rina was immediately available to us and stayed in cellphone contact with an agent at the airport until the problem was solved.

Hotel arrangements were as agreed and worked seamlessly.

Our touring vehicles were comfortable, spacious, and reliable and our drivers on tour in both Ephesus and Cappadocia were professional and pleasant.

All in all, we felt we received very good value from Insight and would recommend your services to anyone looking for a custom-designed tour in Turkey.

Thank you again,

October 10, 2015 – Itinerary: 7 Churches and Cappadocia

Hi Rina, it's going very well. We really enjoyed our 7 churches tour. Our guide was excellent and the weather has been fantastic. We arrived yesterday in Goreme. This morning we did the balloon tour. It was a fantastic experience. I'll tell you more once our time tour is done.

October 6, 2015 – Itinerary: Private Shore Excursions in Istanbul and Ephesus

Thank you! The two tours were highlights of the cruise. Mustafa was so knowledgeable!!! The lunch experience was wonderful. Really enjoyed being back in Istanbul even though it was only for a few hours.

Ephesus was also wonderful. We had cool weather which made it more pleasant. Our guide was good but didn't have the vast knowledge base that Mustafa does. She knew the info about Ephesus fine. We also enjoyed our lunch experience at the rug place. We had no intention of buying a rug but we bought 3!

I would certainly recommend your services! I hope that I have another opportunity to visit Turkey!
Thank you for helping to make our Turkey experience so good.

September 29, 2015 – Itinerary: Istanbul Cappadocia and the Aegean

Dear Rina:

The trip was wonderful. We loved Istanbul and the experience of this trip was something remarkable. All services were good and on time and prompt from the hotels to the transfers and pick-ups. All personnel in the hotels, drivers and guides were very courteous and helpful. The balloon ride was just amazing as well as the Bosphorus boat cruise. We were so happy we tipped everybody.

My wife said that we need to come back to see more of Istanbul. During the trip she send pictures by Facebook to our family and friends in Peru and USA. Some already want to go to Turkey. We will give them your email address for contact.

If I may say something that may require to be cautious about is the fact that some guides tend to be a little too chatty, especially when people are in the underground caves and the extreme heat as in Pergamon. Some tourists may be claustrophobic or become bored with so much talk. The guide at Troy was just amazing and full of knowledge but not so verbose.

Thank you for putting this trip in place for us and for the wonderful experience. I wish you health and success in your business.

September 28, 2015 – Itinerary: Bodrum Ephesus and Pamukkale Package

Hi Rina

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in replying. We had a really lovely time in Turkey and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there. It was unfortunate about the flight delay as the knock on effect was a bad start to the trip but we got over that quite quickly!

After that there was really nothing that hindered our enjoyment other than the storm at the end of our stay... Nothing anyone could've done about that, it was just a pity.

I should say that the staff in Salmakis were extremely nice and the place was really lovely. It was clean, the facilities were very good and the food was excellent for a buffet style restaurant. The hotel in Kusadasi was lovely too although with the sea view room, the view from which was beautiful. Finally, the tours we took to Pamukkale and Ephesus were very enjoyable. Pamukkale was a bit far but enjoyable all the same. The tour guides we had were both excellent, very knowledgeable and really nice people.

All in all we had a really lovely time. Thank you very much for putting together the itinerary for us and for all your help leading up to our departure. It was a pleasure dealing with you and your assistance in putting the trip together at short notice was very much appreciated. I will have absolutely no hesitation recommending you going forward.

Kindest regards

September 14, 2015 – Itinerary: Istanbul and Cappadocia

Hi Rina

We are back home after an amazing holiday. Thank you for everything. I must add that Kayakapi was stunning. We will definitely recommend it. The tours in Cappadocia were exceptional. Ahmed the driver and Esin were amazing. Their patience and time was highly appreciated. Cappadocia was extraordinary. The Levni hotel was great but the breakfast was really average. Had an amazing Turkish Hamam there. The Istanbul tour was a tiring tour especially with the little one. Other than that we love Turkey...especially the food

Thank you once again.
Kind regards

August 31, 2015- Itinerary: Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus and Pamukkale

August 31, 2015– Itinerary: Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus and Pamukkale

Hi Rina,

Sorry for the delay in responding! We've both been incredibly busy since returning. Thank you for reaching out to us for our thoughts - we really appreciate it. From my perspective, overall it was a wonderful trip! All of the hotels were very nice! I especially like the Villa Konak and Assiana Cave Hotel. The owners at Assiana were incredibly kind and offered to change us to the cave room after the first night. The previous occupants had checked out and they just thought we'd like to spend the other two nights there. We really appreciated the gesture.

In regards to the Istanbul tour, you certainly couldn't control the lines! We think there was a cruise ship in that day, so it was especially crowded. My main concern with that tour was that the tour guide (I think her name was Tuba), while a very pleasant young woman, was too soft-spoken and accommodating to handle such a large group (we had 15).

The tour in Ephesus was very nice. The tour guide (who's name I can't remember), was very professional and easy to hear. The hotel was in a wonderful location, clean, welcoming, with a very nice breakfast.

Everything about Cappadocia was wonderful! As I mentioned, the hotel was lovely. And the tour guide (Turan), was great! He was informative, easy to hear, very pleasant to be around, and set up a great itinerary for the two days. And the driver was very prompt and professional. And both the local handicraft stops (rugs and pottery) felt very genuine and comfortable. And the hot air balloon ride was just amazing! I think that was my favorite part of the trip :)

Christy might have more to add, or a different opinion, but I hope you found this helpful. THANK YOU again for setting up such a great trip for us!! I can't wait to go back!

July 22, 2015 – Itinerary: Tailored Tour similar to CA12

Just a short note to say thank you for all the arrangements and the efforts behind the scene to ensure everything goes seamlessly!

Everything went per spec and often I had to rush my ladies to be as punctual! ;)) The only blip, which you may already be aware of, was on the tour in Antalya where the air condioning in the bus was not working on what was a really hot day!

Turkey is a lovely country with warm and friendly people and I now regret not having visited earlier! I do hope I can visit again and when I do, you will be the first whose guidance and help I will seek.

Thanks again

July 1, 2015 - Itinerary: Seven Churches of Asia Minor

Hi again Rina,
Here is the feedback:
1. The tour itself was fantastic - we enjoyed visiting the Seven Churches - major sites visited.

2. Tour guide, Mutlu, was very experienced and knowledgeable and we have taken away a lot with us. In fact, it was like a private tour - just the 2 of us! The places he took us for lunch were also really delicious and reasonable local Turkish restaurants.

3. I think hotels like SC Inn Boutique Hotel in Izmir and Suhan Seaport Hotel in Kusadasi should be taken out of the list. On the other hand,Lycus River Hotel is great and Arcadia Blue fantastic!

Thanks again for your help and God bless.

July 10 , 2015 – Itinerary: Customize Tour Itinerary (CA10)

Hi Rina,
We have nothing but high praise of you for our tour through Turkey. Everything worked flawlessly, from the pick-ups/deliveries at airports, hotels, etc. We didn’t know how the tour would actually work but I must say they were all professional (the guides in Gallipoli and Pergamon must have been historians), and when they “handed us off” they made certain we were in the right place, etc. In Cappadocia we were the only 2 with our guide, so we had a private tour! We’ve already shared your contact info with people on our cruise who want to return to Turkey and do what you have to offer.

We loved Turkey!!! At this point in our lives we may never be back, but won’t hesitate if the opportunity arises, and will tell anyone who will listen they should go. The people are so friendly, and will do anything for you. Even the vendors aren’t obnoxious…just a friendly no, and they “go away”. On two separate Sunday’s (during Ramadan) we walked from our wonderful Sultans Royal Hotel (can’t say enough about their caring staff) through the hippodrome about 7:00PM, and to see the families gathered together to celebrate, and await the 8:45 or so time when they could break the fast was a sight to see. And then returning later to see them enjoying their meal. This we will share as an example of life in a Muslim country.

The only thing we would do differently are: 1) choose a different hotel in Canakkale (glad we had only 1 night at the Artur), and rather than do a round trip to Pamukkale from Kusadasi, continue on from Pamukkale to somewhere else.

The last minute hotel change in Kusadasi was funny. We were just approaching Selcuk, and the bus driver calls my name (no guide on the bus at that point) and hands me his phone. I talk to someone from the agency, then check my emails (yours had arrived moments before). So, we wonder, what’s the Charisma going to be like. We’re the first drop off, and all the others on the bus are saying “can we stay here too!!!”. What I meant about the Charisma being quirky is: it was a very nice hotel (like a Courtyard, or upscale Hilton) but the restaurant was all buffet and no “regular” restaurant. Seemed to be a tourist hotel, so maybe that’s how they do it. Just different.

Thanks again Rina. We will certainly recommend you to anyone visiting Turkey. Let me know if you have any questions of us.

PS: like your new website!!!

Hi Rina, I just wanted to add my comments to Paul’s.  It was a great trip and everything went like clockwork.  The Charisma Hotel I would call a 5 star.  The physical building

Is beautiful, as are the rooms/bathrooms etc.  It did seem a little odd to us that they would not have a restaurant offering fine dining for this quality of hotel.  That

Being said Kusadasi is a big tourist area and maybe the buffet restaurant is what they like.

We both enjoyed Turkey immensely and I certainly will be talking about it to clients so I’m hoping I can work with you in the future booking client trips.Again, that you for a wonderful trip and experience.

July 9 , 2015 – Itinerary: Hotel and Private AC Gulet from Kas to Kekova

Hi Rina,

Thanks so much for all your help. We loved the hotel in Kas — the staff are so welcoming and wonderful and the rooms were clean and nice and perfect (although I do think we could have all easily fit in the one larger room). The breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay there again.

We also loved the gulet. Fethie (not sure how you spell) was great and we had so much fun. It was wonderful and the food was great as well. Would do that again too! And the car service worked out and was also good!

Thanks so much! We had a fabulous few days!

July 5 , 2015 – Itinerary: Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus Tailor Made Tour

Hi Rina,Everything went really good – all planned out well.

1)Transfers were basically on time with little or no issues – just the initial one was late but that had a lot to do with our delay

2)Hotels – great. The one in Cappadocia was a little out of the way but the hospitality and rooms were awesome – definitely recommend. Carina a walk from the city and was on a hill. The Orient well that was right on! Central with great food all around. Actually a wise move as it was a bit far from the bazaar so I did not shop a lot! People there were great and very helpful.

3)Flights – super except as international travelers we had 20 kg each and Pegasus only allows 15 – so that was a bit of a surprise. Turkish Air is a better carrier.

4)Balloon ride – incredible and highly recommended – should let future customers know to tip the crew as they made it quite clear a tip was expected.

5)Tours – overall very good with great guides. Glad we did them all!

Finally the Insight Tours and you. Rina thank you so much for making sure our trip was a memorable one. You were meticulous in the planning and relieved a lot of my stress not having to do anything but decide where to eat. Thank you again for everything and I will definitely recommend you to anyone going to Istanbul!

Will send photos soon but I now need to get to work – its Sunday here and I am sure my office is a mess!

Thank you again! Alida

July 4 , 2015 – Itinerary: Private Marmaris Fethiye Marmaris Blue Cruise for family

Hi Rina

So sorry for this very tardy response, but we have had a busy travel schedule since we left the boat and are now back in the UK!

Re our trip...Everyone arrived in Marmaris without any problems (thanks again for the transfer!) and we were met by Sandra.. Sandra is the most lovely person and beyond professional! She was a complete star with all of us and upgraded our boat because of the 5th cabin. Our boat was called Cinarim A and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were excellent and we had a fabulous time. We had all last visited Turkey many years ago and were so impressed at how it has developed. The towns, countryside and people were so impressive, especially in comparison to Greece.

So, thanks for helping us organize a very memorable family trip.

All the best,

June 8 , 2015 – Itinerary: Istanbul Hotel and Airport Transfers

I just wanted to let you know that thanks to you and your team in Istanbul we all had a *wonderful* time. The hotel was excellent itself, had a great dining room (both in terms of food and the view from the rooftop) and was located *perfectly* to be convenient to everything in the old city. The transfers to and from the airport worked flawlessly. The only problem was that our time was too short!! Hopefully some or all of us will be able to return someday for a longer stay.

Thanks again.

June 2 , 2015 – Itinerary: Private Cappadocia Package

Thanks for checking in. Our time in Cappadocia was really spectacular! We loved the two Umits who were our guide and driver! They could not have been nicer and more helpful. We learned and saw so much! The only thing we wished was, if we had more time, we could have done more hiking. The driver in Istanbul was also helpful in getting us to the place we were staying.

Hi Rina,
I thought I had sent a follow up email to you as well, but I guess I did not. We absolutely LOVED everything about the trip. My family talks about it all the time. The service was top notch (everything from transfers, guides, etc). We were so very very happy with everything. It was perfect. Thank you so much for making such perfect arrangements.

We will surely be using your services if we travel to Turkey again, and will definitely recommend you to anyone who is planning to travel to Turkey!

April 14 , 2015 – Itinerary: Perge Aspendos Side Tour

Dear Rina, the tour and transportation was good overall. The driver was an affable person and arrived at our hotel right on time at 8.20am. The guide Ferit was knowledgeable and could relate the history and backgrounds of the Perge and Aspendos sites in detail. We appreciated the lunch, the place was not swarming with other tourists and our main course was cooked upon ordering. This was unlike other tours in Turkey that we had joined. I would like to thank you again for attending to my email queries earlier, and by the way, you were spot on the taxi fare from the airport to our hotel.

Warm regards,

April 12, 2015 - Itinerary: Private Istanbul Tour

Hi Rina,
Today I have just arrived back in Australia having also spent some time in Azerbaijan.
The walking tour that we undertook with Kamal, was an absolute highlight of our travels.

The sights and history that are there to enjoy in Istanbul is a treasure and I hope that time will not lessen the experience for future generations, but all of this pales beside the informative and exciting way that Kamal, as an informative guide brought it all to life..

Would we recommend the Insight Travel for a Walking Day Tour? Absolutely
Would we recommend Kamal to guide this tour? Again, Absolutely

Rina, in closing, can I thank you and Kamal for such a wonderful experience in such a wonderful place.

Best regards

January 20, 2015 Itinerary: Istanbul – Gallipoli – Troy – Pergamon – Pamukkale - Ephesus

Hi Rina, The trip was fantastic! Especially the Troy/Pergamon day tour from cannakale to Seljuk. I cannot recommend that one highly enough - absolutely fantastic guides!!!! That was one of the highlight days of my entire 3 months in Europe - and the other couple on that day tour with me agreed as to its quality - I would definitely suggest it for future clients! Heirapolis was a tad disappointing only because there wasn't enough time to see all of the city and pamukkale - but otherwise everything was fantastic.

Thanks once again, Michael

January 5, 2015 Itinerary: Customized Turkey tour

Hi Rina
Happy New Year to you!
Apologies for not replying sooner, but it's been very hectic since returning from Turkey and Europe after the year end. We were very well looked after during our trip- the arrangements all worked fine and the trips were as described. The guides varied from 'good' to 'great' - the best were the ones we had for Troy and Pergamon. The hotel in Kusadasi was very good, the one in Cannakale was more basic, but just ok for one night. The people were all helpful and charming, guides, hotel staff etc. Thanks again for all your help
Kind regards

January 4, 2015 Itinerary: Customized Turkey tour
Hello Rina, Happy New Year! All went well while we were in Turkey. We really enjoyed your country.  The hotels were great. Our guide in Cappedocia (I think her name was Faria) was fantastic. Also special thanks to the driver (who was driving us from Cappadocia back to the airport) because there was some problem with the vehicle. He immediately contacted someone and another car was waiting for us in the middle of the highway on the way to the airport to pick us up. Otherwise we would have missed our flight and would have impacted our trip to Greece. Thank you again for making our stay in Turkey enjoyable.
